Choice Recruitment - An LBA Success Story

Formerly Managing Director of the leading UK healthcare recruitment company, Mike Smith approached LBA in 1993 in search of recruitment businesses, ideally in Hertfordshire.

Mike takes up the story:

“LBA introduced me to Choice Recruitment in Stevenage and with their help a deal was concluded in January 1994. I wanted to build a network of branches and over the next seven years LBA facilitated the acquisition of branches in Mill Hill, Diss, Thetford and Lowestoft.

I started to think of retirement a couple of years ago and of course I turned to LBA to help me to plan my exit route. They valued the business and we discussed and formulated an exit plan. It was fairly late in 2006 that I decided to press the button and go for a sale, LBA guided me towards a larger recruitment business in the same area and we completed the sale just after Christmas. LBA not only found us the buyer, they also helped with the negotiations and dealt with any problems as they occurred.
